Clips and Plexa Live come to the launcher

Launcher 0.16 and 0.17 add Clips, to record and share your best moments, and Plexa Live, to stream your game, host Stages and support streamers with Plexa Points.

Two of the biggest things players asked for landed in the Plexa launcher on 29 October: Clips in version 0.16, and Plexa Live in version 0.17.

Clips

The launcher can now record your game. Turn Clips on and it keeps a rolling recording in the background, so when something worth keeping happens, you save it.

  • Trim and keep. Cut a clip down to the moment and it lands in a Plexa folder in your Videos.
  • Share it. Send a clip straight into a Plexa Chat conversation or a clips channel, up to three minutes long.
  • Highlights on their own. Zombiez marks rampages, long streaks, boss kills and extractions, and race wins are marked too, so the moments find you.

Clips are recorded by Windows itself, on your PC. Nothing is uploaded unless you share it.

Plexa Live

Plexa Live is streaming built into the network. Go live from the launcher and your friends can find you from chat, or anyone can watch in the launcher or at plexa.gg/live.

  • Stages. Host a Stage for an event, a meeting or a show, with people joining to watch and chat.
  • Support with Plexa Points. Send Plexa Points to a streamer in the same world. We take no cut.
  • Ask Plexa AI. Viewers can put questions to Plexa AI, our own assistant, right in the stream chat.
  • 18 and over. Like Plexa Chat, Live is for adults, and every stream follows the Chat Rules.

Since then

Version 0.17.1 made every update required, so everyone is on the same launcher, and 0.17.2 added crash reports you can send us in one click.
