PlexaRP update 2.170.0 shipped on 18 October 2026. These are the highlights. The full notes, with every fix, are in the PlexaRP changelog on the wiki.

Courts with AI judges

AI judges now hear court cases in game and online. Cases are filed, given a hearing slot and judged with tiered verdicts and sentences that staff sign off, and the MDC person record lists a person's court cases.

  • Fine appeals go to court. An appeal made through /fines is heard before the seven-day appeal deadline. Counsel for the State argues for the agency, witnesses give sworn testimony, and lying under oath can be referred for perjury.
  • Civil claims. Whoever brings a claim can withdraw it or settle it with /court withdraw and /court settle.
  • Arrest reports built for court. The MDC report editor shows a live case strength meter and links evidence to each charge. A report missing what the court needs cannot be filed, and court-bound reports become tasks with hearing reminders, listed under /courtreports.

Money

  • The LS Stock Exchange. Trading has moved to its own exchange. Your shares came with you, and you can move money between your bank account and your exchange wallet. Trading through the UCP and the phone has closed.
  • Contactless cards. Cards can pay contactless up to a tap limit you set yourself, in the finance Cards tab or the Fleeca app, with no PIN needed under the limit. The PIN pad at ATMs, the banker desk and card payments now has a real keypad layout.

Around the city

  • Vehicle boots. Put a restrained, downed or willing person in the boot of the car behind you with /ptrunk, or load a body with /ctrunk. /premove and /cremove take them out, and someone in an unlocked boot can climb out with /trunkexit.
  • Finding work. /jobs has a find work list of every public job and where to start it.
  • Clearing a scene. Responders can close a finished NPC 911 call and clear its NPCs, cars and props at once with /clearcall or Clear scene on the MDC.
  • Dirty cars. /dirt makes your car dirtier. Cleaning stays with the car washes.

Chat and nametags

Wrap words in *one asterisk* for italics, **two** for bold or ***three*** for both, in local chat, /me, OOC, PMs and radio. /settings has radio colour pickers and a switch to turn formatting off. Nametags now fade with distance, crowds are tidied so names do not stack, badges show up close only and /ame lines stack. When a player leaves, a card shows over the spot they left from.

Balance

  • Legal jobs paid by NPCs pay 1.5 times as much, after their own skill and level bonuses.
  • Time in game off duty now counts toward the 8 hours a week needed for the weekly government, law and emergency salary.
  • Hunting tags are a weekly allowance that resets on Monday at midnight UK time, and the five-round Precision Rifle replaces the musket. Muskets and musket rounds you owned were swapped for the new rifle and its rounds.

Staff tools

/amanager gained a player timeline, a live map, a combat log that flags likely RDM and VDM, staff performance, conflict-of-interest alerts, economy checks and feature switches. Permanent bans, admin CKs and large money or item gives now need a second staff member to approve them, and /giveitem has been rebuilt with search, kits, limits, history and revoking.

Fixes players reported

  • A car's plate now reaches every player, so personal cars no longer sometimes show a random plate.
  • A stray second copy of your car is removed when it spawns or parks; it could stop you unlocking your own car after logging back in.
  • Pressing F7 with a menu open no longer freezes the game.
  • The bus depot desk is back at the Paleto Bay Transit Centre, where every route starts.
  • The chainsaw notch score now counts the time you keep the revs in the green band, instead of always scoring 0.
